I was called on to design the corporate identity for newt, a jewelry company founded by a friend. At the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, I stumbled upon a Gino Severini print that I liked the color scheme of. I used this image to find the color scheme for newt.
Logo sketches initially attempted to emulate a newt in visual style, but after reconsidering the brand identity, we settled on minimalist type and simple, modern elegance.
The logo is integrated into a website, a Facebook page, and other assets.
